7. Sacred Vow
Harald, now a king, sends his men to ask young princess Gyda to marry him. Gyda demands that first he shall become one and sole king of Norway:
“Conquer this land Sword in your hand Anchor in sand
Storms you withstand“.
Harald fulfills her demands – the sacred vow. Moreover, he let his hair and beard grow until he has become the first sole ruler of Norway.
